Common questions
Can you register .com.au and .au domains?
Yes. We are a reseller for the major Australian and international registries. .com.au, .au, .com, .net, .org and most country-code and generic TLDs are available through your BaseHost portal.
What about the scam renewal letters?
Ignore them. They are not invoices, they are unsolicited offers from third parties trying to capture your domain at inflated rates. Your real renewal sits inside your BaseHost portal and on your monthly invoice.
Do you offer domain locking against unauthorised transfers?
Yes. Every domain we manage has transfer lock and registrar lock enabled by default. Authorisation codes are only released to you, not requested by anyone else.
Can I transfer in domains that are registered elsewhere?
Yes. We initiate the transfer, you approve it at your current registrar, and the domain lands inside your BaseHost portal with the same expiry date. No outage to mail or web during the transfer.
What happens when a domain is up for renewal?
We renew automatically and bill on the same monthly invoice. You get a renewal reminder 30 days out. If you ever want to move a domain elsewhere, we unlock it on request, no holding domains hostage.
