MANAGED WEB HOSTING
WordPress hosting monitored by real engineers.
Plesk-powered Australian hosting infrastructure, hardened by default, monitored 24/7, with Wordfence and MariaDB tuning built in. Not a $5 shared plan with a chat bot, actual engineers who know your stack.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Hosting designed for managed sites
Plesk environment
Enterprise Plesk panel with WordPress Toolkit, staging environments, smart updates and per-site isolation.
Wordfence Premium
Real-time firewall, malware scanning, two-factor authentication, login security and reputation monitoring.
MariaDB tuning
Database performance is most sites' bottleneck. We tune MariaDB per-site: query cache, buffer pool, slow-query log.
Backups + restores tested
Daily offsite backups with 30-day retention. Quarterly restore drills with written evidence.
SMTP & email deliverability
WP Mail SMTP configured with SendGrid or your own provider. SPF, DKIM, DMARC monitored. No silent delivery failures.
24/7 monitoring
Uptime checks every 60 seconds, performance baselines, error-rate alerting. Engineers respond, no AI-only triage.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Hosting from a team that also runs your IT
Generic web hosts treat your site as a tenant of a shared box. We treat it as part of your IT estate.
1
Same engineer team
The engineer who handles your M365 ticket is the same one who'll diagnose a Wordfence lockout.
2
Security baseline applied
Essential 8-inspired hardening on the hosting environment itself: MFA on Plesk, patched OS, monitored SSH.
3
Migrations done properly
Moving in is free for managed clients. We handle DNS cutover, mail re-routing, redirect mapping, and validation.
4
No premium upcharges
SSL, CDN, staging, backups, WAF, malware scanning, all included. You won't get nickel-and-dimed for the basics.
HOW WE HOST
Hosting that does not fall over.
Enterprise WordPress and application hosting on Plesk Onyx (Premium Partner), with high availability, daily off-site backups, a Web Application Firewall, malware scanning, and uptime monitoring with engineer-level response. Stacks are tuned for the workload, PHP version, opcache, object cache, CDN configuration, all picked because they match the site, not because they are the default. SSL is automated through Let's Encrypt or a paid issuer where required.
Cheap hosts oversell their infrastructure. We do not. Every plan is sized for headroom because nobody wants to find their traffic limit during their busiest week. When something does go wrong, you get the engineer who configured the stack, not a tier-one ticket queue reading from a script.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
Common questions
Where are your hosting nodes located?
All BaseHost hosting nodes run on AWS EC2 servers. Australian AWS regions are the default for Australian clients. We can provision overseas regions on request when there is a data-residency or latency reason.
How does DNS work?
DNS for every managed domain is served by five geographically redundant AWS Route 53 nameservers. The redundancy means a single regional outage cannot take a customer's DNS offline.
Do you only host sites you have built?
No. We host WordPress, WooCommerce and ClassicPress sites built by other agencies and developers. Hosting is a separate service from our website management service. Taking a site onto our hosting platform does not automatically mean we manage the site, only the infrastructure underneath it.
Can you co-manage our site with us or with another agency?
Yes, but it voids the warranty that comes with our managed service. The moment another party has write access, we can no longer guarantee what the site looks like at any given moment. If we are asked to repair issues caused by external changes, that work is billed at our standard hourly rate.
Are the servers backed up?
Yes. We run two independent backup tracks: AWS volume snapshots at the storage layer, plus nightly remote cloud backups stored in a separate region. The two tracks protect against both accidental data loss and full-region failure.
How do you stop my site getting hacked?
Every hosting server runs Imunify360 with real-time protection enabled, plus nightly malware scans across every site on the server. Imunify360 catches and neutralises the bulk of WordPress-targeted attacks before they reach the application layer.
Can you host Shopify or only WordPress?
Shopify is hosted SaaS, so Shopify hosts it. We manage Shopify stores under Website Management, but the underlying infrastructure stays with Shopify. For WordPress, WooCommerce and ClassicPress, BaseHost provides the infrastructure.
Need to move off cheap hosting? Migration included for managed clients.
30-minute hosting review with an engineer. We'll inspect your current setup, identify the performance and security gaps, and quote a migration if it makes sense.
