BaseHost has been confirmed for the Microsoft Partner Security solutions designation for the 2026 financial year. The designation reflects continued performance against Microsoft’s customer-success and skilling metrics for the Security solution area, and is renewed annually based on real customer outcomes rather than a one-off audit.
What the designation actually measures
The Microsoft Partner Security designation is one of six Solutions Partner designations in the Microsoft Partner Program. To qualify, a partner has to clear a combined score across three buckets: certified engineering depth (Microsoft-credentialed engineers on staff at specific levels), customer-success outcomes (deployment, usage and growth metrics across the partner’s managed customer base) and performance against the Security solution area’s capability framework.
The threshold moves each year. Being confirmed for FY26 means we have not just maintained capability through the renewal window, we have grown it.
What it gives clients
For BaseHost clients, the practical effect is three things. First, priority routing into Microsoft support and FastTrack for Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID and Purview workloads. Second, access to Microsoft’s security incubation programs, where new product capability gets piloted with designated partners before general availability. Third, the joint go-to-market option for clients whose security programme would benefit from Microsoft sitting in the room as well.
The wider context
Microsoft has consolidated its partner programme heavily over the last two years. The old Gold and Silver competency model is gone. The Solutions Partner designations replace it, and they are deliberately harder to earn and easier to lose. A partner who held a designation last year is not guaranteed to hold it this year. Designation status is the closest thing in the Microsoft ecosystem to an objective measure of whether a partner is still doing the work, at scale, across a real customer base.
For BaseHost, the renewal is a measure of how the security business has scaled across the last twelve months, particularly across managed Microsoft 365 customers running Defender, conditional access and Sentinel under our managed services umbrella.
